God is making all things new!

Passage: Revelation 21:3-5, Isaiah 43:18-19 Preacher: Mark Kingston

QUICK RECAP

God IS doing a new thing. Right now. Right here. It’s happening.

But here’s the thing—this isn’t just some feel-good cliché. This is the heartbeat of who God is. He’s the One who brings life where there’s death, healing where there’s hurt, and hope where everything feels lost.

And yet … we feel it, don’t we? The deep knowing that not everything is as it should be. The world is a mess. Wars. Injustice. Addiction. Suffering. And if we’re honest, we’re a mess too. Regrets that won’t let go. Distractions that pull us away. Longings we can’t fill. We need something more. Something better. We need God to do something new.

And here’s the good news: He is. “See, I am doing a new thing!” Isaiah declares. Forgiveness. Healing. Joy. Streams in the desert. But there’s a challenge here too: “Don’t miss it!”.

God’s new thing doesn’t always come loud or obvious. It often starts small. Quiet. Unexpected. And if we’re stuck—stuck in our past, buried in busyness, lost in our anxieties—we might not perceive it.

So this year, join me. Let’s make space. Let’s pray: “Lord, show us Your new thing. Help us see it, step into it, and join You in it.” As you do, lift up the places and people where you long to see God’s breakthrough—a broken relationship, a wounded heart, a friend in addiction or despair.

This is God’s year and He’s at work doing a new thing. Let’s not miss it…
