Jubilee has led us on a journey—repentance, freedom, restoration. And now, the final and perhaps most significant step: trusting that God is enough.
This is where everything rests. If you truly believe that God is the best carer you could ever have - that He knows you, loves you, and will provide for you completely - then fear, anxiety, and scarcity no longer rule your life.
But let’s be real. This is hard to believe at a heart level. I saw this firsthand when my family’s Permanent Residency application hit an unexpected obstacle. Initially, I was at peace, trusting God’s provision. But when I heard that the PR program we applied through was being cut by 50% this year, I'll admit that fear crept in! Doubt replaced confidence. I had to bring it back to God in prayer. And as I did, peace returned. Here's the point: the storms of life expose what our hearts really believe.
One reason its hard to believe "God is enough" is that we live in a world dominated by a competing idea: there isn’t enough. This fear of scarcity shapes everything—our economy, our workaholism, our isolation, even global conflict. But Jubilee calls us to a radical alternative: behaving as if God's enoughness is true, even when our hearts struggle to believe it.
Jubilee demanded radical trust—taking two years off farming, relying on God for provision. And what happens when you test God’s faithfulness? He comes through. Like Peter, pulling in an impossible catch of fish when he obeyed Jesus.
Yes, if we trust God, He will provide—but often NOT in our timing or in the way we expect. Sometimes, His provision comes through unexpected people, in ways that challenge our assumptions, or in seasons where we are learning patience and trust. This is the tension of faith—trusting in what we cannot yet see.
God invites us to test His enoughness. To step beyond fear into trust. To build a life where we live as if He is enough—because He truly is.
